At York Walls Festival we launched a brand new creative installation – Writings on the Wall. In the foyer of York Explore (where we also staged some of our activities at York Festival of Ideas) was an incomplete sentence printed on a board. The words were:
We invited the public to complete the sentence in their own way by adding post-its between the words. The results were, as with other creative installations we’ve staged, were a mixed bag. Writing’s on the Wall inspired people to think about their relationships, their routines, and the York Walls themselves! Here are some of our favourite contributions:
