Calling all young writers!

Calling all young writers!

You’re invited to the #foundfiction workshop – an action-packed storytelling event for writing enthusiasts aged 11-16 in South Leeds.

The #foundfiction workshop is hosted by three of the best writers in Leeds and Bradford:

• Phil Pearce, poet and spoken word performer
• Kirsty Taylor, teacher and spoken word artist
• Daniel Ingram-Brown, playwright and children’s book author

Phil, Kirsty and Daniel will be sharing their writing and performing tips – so if you want to be a writer one day, now’s your chance to learn from the very best.

You’ll also get the opportunity to take part in a writing experiment called #foundfiction, which publishes anonymous short stories and leaves them around public spaces in envelopes marked ‘READ ME’.

Put your creative skills to the test by helping design these #foundfiction envelopes and leave them where you think they might be found. You could even get your own story published by #foundfiction if you write the best story of the day.

This free event is open to children who live in Hunslet, Beeston, Holbeck and Middleton Park. It’s funded by the Inner South Community Committee.

To sign up, email fictionfound@gmail.com or get in touch on our Facebook event page.
